Several prizes and travel bursaries are administered by the IAPD for the benefit of individual members. These are made available at the Congresses of IAPDThese include:
These include:- The Bengt Magnusson Memorial Prize is to young paediatric dentist for the best research paper
- The Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Award is for the best community education program
- The Jens Andreasen Award is for the best poster on dental traumatology
- The Morita Prizes are for the best poster in Research Poster & Case Report
- Travel Bursaries are for those from less wealthy nations
The Bengt Magnusson Memorial Prize that is offered by the OMEGA-PHARMA, HELLAS/Greece and is awarded to a young paediatric dentist for the best research paper submitted to coincide with the IAPD Congress every two years. The prize is in memory of Professor Bengt Magnusson. NEW DEADLINE: 15 FEBRUARY 2013

The Jens Andreasen Award, a biennial award, that is presented for the best poster on dental traumatology in children. The award is 400 pounds and it is funded from funds in the IAPD general account which were acquired from the Andreasen pre-Congress lectures.
Jens Andreasen Prize Advert 2013 Jens Andreasen Prize Application Form 2013 The Morita Prizes that are offered by the Morita Corporation for the two best posters exhibited at the IAPD Congress on any clinical field - case report and research. The award is 1000 US$ per poster.
Morita Prize Advert 2013 Morita Prize Application Form 2013 Travel Bursaries - Three bursaries of 1000 USD each will be available for the IAPD biennial Congress. Preference is given to applicants with an abstract submitted/accepted for the Congress, persons who have not received a bursary previously and those from less wealthy nations. Candidates are not elegible for another price at the congress.

Abstract Submissions:
Scientific Committee of the Congress Abstracts for the Morita Prize award and the Jens Andreasen award must clearly state if they will contest for the Morita Prize or for the Jens Andreasen award.
